Recently, our team had the pleasure of working at the iconic Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, carrying out a specialist non-destructive testing (NDT) survey.
We were brought in to provide rope access support for a half-cell potential survey – a technique used to assess the condition of steel reinforcement hidden within concrete structures. This method helps identify areas where corrosion might be occurring, without the need for any invasive work.
Working alongside a team of corrosion specialists, our role was to safely access the high and hard-to-reach areas of the building, assisting the engineers to collect the information they required.
It’s always great to collaborate on projects that combine technical know-how with the unique access skills of our rope teams.
The Mayflower Theatre is a landmark building, and we’re proud to play a part in its ongoing care and maintenance.
If you’re planning a structural survey and need access support, feel free to get in touch – we’re always happy to help.
